Finished Sallie's Piano Bracelet!

I think it's lovely. I love how I added the musical charms. For some reason, the warp threads pulled in smaller than 7", so I had to make up the difference with beads extending to the clasp. I have to make me one now. It was scary pulling the warp rods out of the piece, but it was easy to work the beads down to take up the slack. The Ricks Beading Loom is worth it. It gets Creative Magic's stamp of approval!

Testing Out The Ricks Beading Loom

So far so good. The first 5 rows were really tricky... maybe because I'm doing 31 warp threads. The threads were twisted some way, and I used the extra warp rod to fix it. I'm loving the loom so far. I'm going to make ME a piano bracelet as well, but I'm going to use blue beads instead of the black matte beads on mine.

I'm going to add a row of Toho rounds to the edges of the bracelet. I'm a little nervous that I don't have enough of the off white AB Delicas. We'll see.

Gotta Keep It Moving!

This is lining material for the new license plate purse.... I wanted a new coin/id purse, so voila! The colors match, but the patterns are different... so cool. I love that I know how to make pockets inside the purse, so the new license plate purse will have inside pockets. I want to make some skirts and dresses now... especially since I made the shorts. I need that dress form soon.
I got my Ricks Beading Loom. It is HARD to maneuver the warp threads. I'm a little disappointed, but I'll keep working with it, because I love the concept of the no warp threads at the end. Sallie's black beads are coming next week for her piano bracelet:
My first charted pattern. I guess I need to learn other beading stitches (peyote, square, brick). I'm still blown away by Erin Simonetti's extended designs.

Loom Beading Obsession Returns!

I've been making myself sick over loom beading! I can't wait to get the Ricks Beading Loom (next week). I think the first project I'll do with that one will be Sallie's piano bracelet. In the meantime, it's been hours of Pinterest boards, Etsy pages, and internet research. I'm so inspired, but there are so many extraordinary loom beaders out there (Erin Simonetti), that my simple work may get lost in the sea of creativity. I'll just let my mind wander and come up with some extraordinary designs. I need to get containers for all the beading thread and Miyuki Delicas that I'm going to get. So much to learn, so little time.
